Greg and Linda Rubin, owners of Calabasas-based Garcoa Inc., recently donated 30 pallets of hand sanitizers, or more than 92,000 bottles, to the Haitian relief effort.
The hand sanitizers were given to the Catholic Medical Mission Board and to the Albert Schweitzer Foundation for delivery to their hospital in the earthquake-ravaged country.

In 1972, only 36 percent of the nation’s surveyed streams were safe for uses such as fishing and swimming. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, about 60 percent are safe today.
